It’s promising Asian tacos and creative cocktails
The team behind Stokey’s Victory Mansion have shown they know what’s what when it comes to cocktails but now they’re adding food into the mix as they flip the bar into new concept TA-KO. Inspired by both Asian flavours and the relaxed vibe (and corn tortillas) of taquerias, the TA-KO menu includes:
- blackened river trout, smoked aubergine nahm prik and lime labneh tacos
- palm sugar glazed beef short rib, pickled kohlrabi and blackberry sriracha tacos
- crispy cauliflower, black bean & tamarind ragu, avocado and pepper mayo tacos
- chilli corn with feta and lime
- shredded Asian slaw
- nori fried potatoes with kampot pepper mayo
You can pair those tacos with cocktails like the Apple Cinnamon Scotch (made with scotch, apple and cinnamon syrups & peychaud’s bitters), Apricot & Smoke (with mezcal, apricot brandy, Campari & lemon), Banana Boulevardier (with bourbon, Campari, orange wine & banana liqueur), and Cherry Club (with gin, cherry purée, lemon & morello syrup). There are 40 covers in the main space, plus a private dining area, at TA-KO but the outdoor terrace will be the place to be for tacos and cocktails in the sunshine.
