up people Eat 17 and Bacon Jam founders are about to launch a brand spanking new restaurant, burger bar and local convenience store on Chatsworth Road, Clapton.

Located in the historic former snooker hall the downstairs burger bar and convenience store are set to open late April, with the upstairs restaurant to follow in May.

In the evening only restaurant you can expect reasonably priced, dishes like ‘smoked chicken noodles, crispy skin, enoki’ and pork shoulder, smoky beans, crème fraiche, spinach & hazelnuts.

Downstairs, the burger bar will offer a well-priced menu of organic burgers, including the famous grass-fed beef and Eat 17 Bacon Jam burger, and will be the first place to sell craft beer from Hackney Wick’s Crate brewery on tap. The convenience store will look to emulate its Walthamstow cousin, selling everything from kitchen towels to gourmet sausages; Eat 17’s famous homemade ‘ready meals’; and freshly-baked organic bread from its Walthamstow bakery and tasty pastries.

The downstairs, which will open at 8am daily, will also house an outpost of Broadway Market florist Rebel Rebel. Looks like Chatworth Road is about to get a proper posh pit stop!
