Nuno Mendes, who already has Chiltern Firehouse and Taberna do Mercado to his name, is opening another spot, this time in London Fields. Mare Street Market will be housed in a big converted warehouse and will be a joint project with Barworks, the peeps who run places like The Diner, Wenlock & Essex and the Exmouth Arms. Nuno is going to be taking care of the food offering (although we don’t exactly know what that is yet) and the space will feature a bar, deli, record shop and florist as well as a main restaurant. No exact opening date yet, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled.
