Ever fancied owning a bit of an airport? Now you can because all the contents of Heathrow’s Terminal 1 are going up for sale. Global Partners, the company in charge of cataloguing and selling the assets, is auctioning off everything from arrivals signs to check-in desks to customs panels. Whilst squeezing an entire baggage drop system into your house might be a bit tricky, you could nab a Terminal 1 sign for your bedroom or a nice departure lounge chair for the living room if old airport chic is the look you’re going for. The auction is taking place at the Thistle London T5 Hotel but if you can’t make to that, a whole load of stuff will be sold online too.
