Grind has come along way since opening their first coffee and cocktail shop in Shoreditch and are now moving away from a cafe concept to a full blown restaurant offering. As well as opening new sites in Clerkenwell and Exmouth Market, Covent Garden Grind has recently undergone a big change that’ll have you hitting up the coffee-come-cocktail bar for more than just drinks…they’ve introduced a dinner menu, dishing out modern British small plates Monday to Saturday.
The food not only looks great, very clean and colourful, but has the taste to match. The salt cod brandade with garlic crostini is ram packed with flavour, the super healthy kale, brown rice, cauliflower, pine nuts and pomegranate is Instagram porn and the smashed sweet potato, spiced nuts and yoghurt is fresh and light.
To finish you’ve got the choice of two desserts. The Grind affogato with amaretti will certainly put a spring in your step and the hot apple crumble sundae makes for one hell of a treat. As usual, Grind has all your coffee and cocktail needs taken care of, the signature Grind Espresso Martini is a real winner…it’d be rude not to have at least one.
