loti eats | the vincent

Charles Ross, Richard Temple and Jamie Hempseed, the guys who used to run the Sebright Arms, are the people behind The Vincent, an all-day joint in Hackney. From coffee and pastries in the morning to slow-cooked ribs on Sundays, you defo won’t be going hungry here. Armed with our stretchy pants, we went along to sample as much as humanly possible.

The beauty of The Vincent is that it’s both creatively healthy and stupendously naughty. You’ll find fresh salads bursting with rice and grains that will help sculpt that six pack as well as the more self-indulgent options from their Bunsmith’s menu. The buttermilk fried chicken burger is the bomb, loaded with aioli, lettuce and pickles, the crispy skin is the crunchy gatekeeper of that succulent, juicy chicken. The healthier yet hearty bowls have plenty of options and the hoisin crispy duck with peach and pomegranate was a fine choice of super fresh goodness. Sides could do with another veggie choice we think, if you aren’t going for a bowl of health that is, but all in all it’s a great addition to the Clapton hood.

With alfresco dining on the terrace, you can easily take advantage of their craft beer menu with strong local brews aplenty, along with their wine and marvel at the double height glass windows and pillars that make up The Vincent.
