Club Kuru have been doing their thing for a little while now, but following the release of their EP ‘Waiting At The Corner’ we think it’s about time the five-piece were put under the spotlight. Fronted by Laurie Erskine, a classically trained pianist who taught himself to sing and produce, it’s an ever-evolving sound.
Merging psych with dream-pop, R&B, jazz and funk, Club Kuru have found their own niche and it’s pretty bloody special. Expect infectious melodies, brooding basslines, slinky synths and airy vocals. Oozing cool, Club Kuru’s sound is all about those laid back vibes and it has summer written all over it.
