Duck Duck Goose is opening in Pop Brixton in January 2017. No we’re not talking about a HUGE version of that game you played as a child, but a modern Cantonese canteen inspired by the BBQ and roasted meat shops of Hong Kong. The new spot comes from London-born chef Oli Brown, who dreamt up the idea of Duck Duck Goose while living and working as a chef in Honkers.
Housed in a shipping container, it’s gonna be small but perfectly formed with playful decor and a menu centred around duck, pork and goose, that will be air dried and roasted on-site in their custom-built oven. You can expect dishes to include Prawn Toast Revisted, Turnip Cake with Ceps, a Meat Platter and Cha Chaan Teng French Toast with Condensed Milk & Soy Ice Cream, which will be served alongside a small, but concise drinks list. Yes, it sounds like Duck Duck Goose will cure your post-christmas blues.
