The Victoria Inn has been open in Peckham since 1878, which is a pretty long time, so it’s recently had a bit of a makeover. The number of rooms at the pub has been reduced from 19 to 15, meaning a lot more space, and they’ve been given a Scandi-inspired design update. The horseshoe bar remains downstairs, so the pub still has that heritage feel, just with a little added shine. The food and drink has been spruced up too. Newly-appointed head chef Dan Smith has created a modern all-day dining menu using ingredients from local suppliers and producers, and the bar has been stocked with a range of craft beers, locally distilled spirits and biodynamic wines.
