loti eats: jim’s cafe

Once an Italian coffee shop and ice cream factory and more recently a much-loved local caff Jim’s is the oldest cafe on Chatsworth Road. After first opening it’s doors in the 60’s, the cafe has reopened and now serves up bangin’ breakfasts, lunch and dinner. Staying true to it’s heritage, the owners have re-stored the 196os decor and expanded into the old ice cream factory at the back. Taking every detail into consideration, Jim’s bake their own sourdough, muffins & pastries, serve up a range of homemade juices and even cure their own bacon.

The place is more than big enough with seating stretching far past the counter and into a room ‘out the back’ though it is quite impressive. Using almost entirely organic and locally sourced produce, Jim’s Cafe is already making a name for themselves and with eggs mimosa with prawns & avocado and lots of thick cut house bacon on the menu it’s no wonder why. It’s probably the most expensive breakfast you’ll eat in Clapton (for now) but would that stop us form going back…definitely not.
