Brixton gallery Photofusion and photography collective Rockarchive have teamed up for a new exhibition celebrating David Bowie. ‘Silhouettes and Shadows’ features images from across Bowie’s life and career from photographers like Mick Rock, Barrie Wentzell, Ray Stevenson, Mark Mawston, and Steve Rapport. Some of the images, including those of Bowie on a trip to Mexico in 1997 taken by Fernando Aceves, have not been seen in the UK before. Coinciding with the Brixton Design Trail, which honours its local hero with the ‘Rebel Rebel’ theme, this exhibition is the perfect way to pay tribute to the music icon.
