ONES TO WATCH: THE BIG MOON

The Big Moon appeared out of nowhere in 2015 and the London four piece have been to the moon and back since. After finding each other through a series of mutual friends/families/dogs, the band took on all the songs lead singer Jules had been writing in her bedroom and created The Big Moon, because Jules loves mooning apparently… Following the release of their fuzzy debut single ‘Sucker’, they’ve established their grungy sound with tight harmonies and HUGE choruses. As Cecelia (bass) puts it, their sound is ‘like four distinct, different individuals came together to play the ideas that came out of one very brilliant brain and had the best time doing it. Plus beer.’.

Going from strength to strength, The Big Moon have become known for their crazy live shows and been hitting the festival circuit hard this year, playing several sets at Glastonbury as well as headlining their own shows and touring with The Maccabees, Ezra Furman and The Mystery Jets. And in between their nutty shows they’ve been in the studio writing their debut album, with big plans ahead The Big Moon are definitely a band to watch…
