Summer normally brings out brights by the bucket load, and whilst we have had plenty of prints and patterns, in terms of single shades it’s been toned right down. The grey trend is all about layering different shades, patterns and textures together, and as it’s such a popular and flattering colour, the chances are you have a fair bit of it knocking around in your wardrobe already. Look for pieces in lightweight fabrics like jersey and linen, which are perfectly suited to summer, and basic shapes with extra detailing…everything from raw edges, double hems, flecked finishes…to add to what you’ve already got. Just because your working with one colour doesn’t mean you have to be boring.
