restaurant The House of Ho now has a new home in Fitzrovia, a tall townhouse with four floors of drinking and dining. Inside is a cut above the old Soho joint, the space feels much cleaner and brighter, the kind of place you can enjoy lunch and dinner. The menu has also grown up with high rollin’ additions such as Wagyu short rib Pho and a decent selection of steamed dumplings.

The food is all designed for sharing (where isn’t these days) and there’s some interesting twists on classic Vietnamese dishes. King crab, prawn and crème fraiche croquettes and a Vietnamese scotch egg which was incased in noodles and breadcrumbs started things off nicely, whilst the Snow Crab and Scallop dumplings were light fishy parcels of joy. Our favourite though, was definitely the signature Chilean Seabass with Vietnamese Fermented Plum Sauce. Super soft fish and a decent portion too…
