people behind popular cocktail spot Nightjar (and winner of many a drinks award) have only gone and opened a second site. Located in Smithfields, in what used to be the Cock Tavern, the new place has an 1920’s style design with Lee Broom lighting, show stopping bar and a stage for live music.

The drinks menu is split in three sections; Old World, New World and The Orient, and there’s some bat-shit CRAY CRAY creations on there. Think drinking from a mushroom, or a pasta shell. Then there’s the aperitif containing mistletoe, lovage and spinach…technically healthy right? Not all were to our tastes, we’re not gonna lie, but as far as quirky goes they certainly all gave us something to talk about…helpful on those awks first dates. Oh and if you’re feeling peckish there’s an interesting selection of snacks too. We wouldn’t want all that booze going to your head now, would we?
