BLACKLOCK SUNDAY ROAST CHICKEN LOTI

Given that Soho chop-specialist Blacklock has been slinging out piles of juicy tender meat to happy punters for the best part of 2015 now, it’s perhaps surprising that it has only just launched its very own Sunday roast. Well, we can only imagine that the kitchen has spent the last few months practising and, having been down there ourselves on the first Blacklock Sunday, we can tell you that it’s been well worth the wait.

Blacklock is all about keeping things simple and as such there is just two starters; grilled bone marrow or scallops roasted in the coals with melted black pudding. This is probably wise as you wouldn’t want to fill up before the food-extravaganza that follows. Sure you could get a single meat roast with all the trimmings but frankly you’d be a fool not to go ALL IN. For £20 per person you’ll be presented with a huge platter of beef, lamb and pork, giant Yorkshire puddings, perfectly crispy roast potatoes, heritage carrots and sprouting broccoli. What’s more, at the bottom you’ll find three thick fingers of bread, soaked full of gravy and juices – a genius move.

BLACKLOCK SUNDAY ROAST LOTI

Blacklock have gone and set the bar very high for London Sunday roasts, we urge you to get down there and check it out, you won’t be disappointed.
