is a new high end Japanese joint which is about to open in Mayfair and, coming from renowned chef Yoshihiro Murata who holds seven Michelin stars across his three restaurants in Japan, we were pretty damn excited to check it out at a special preview dinner.

We loved the classic Japanese decor and the cocktails we sipped around the downstairs bar and open kitchen. Upstairs there is a bigger dining room where we tucked in to two starters which were our favourite dishes of the night, a wagyu beef tartare with wasabi yuzu sesame sauce, and crisp Japanese fried chicken. We then moved on to some incredible soft shell crab sushi rolls and a sashimi selection presented on a tray with dry ice… probably an unnecessary gimmick but an Instagram worthy shot all the same.

It’s not cheap but you know what they say, you pay for what you get and here it’s wagyu beef and fresh truffle…

Tokimeite is due to open on 23rd November.
