best things come in small packages, right? Well, if you’re starting your Xmas shopping early (weirdos), then head down to Redchurch Street and pop into In House. They host a keep-you-on-your-toes changing roster of pop-up guests every couple of months to get excited about. This is their third annual Xmas shop, and it opens in November, stocking everything from £1 baubles to £300 limited edition 1960’s Maurice Sendak (Where the Wild Things Are) prints.

The shop is only just over 10 square metres. So be polite. Elbows down. It’s not the Selfridges sale or anything. The founder and creative director of In House, Jet Swan, carefully curates the stock, and because of the shop size, new items are brought out daily. You can go to town and really get stuck in.

It’s all Xmassy items, including one-off greeting cards and hand printed wrapping, antique candlesticks for a decadent table setting; or take a little bit of old fashioned Christmas home with bunches of rosy red sleigh bells. Chances are you’ll be probably be there next year. However, it is a pop-up, so there’s no guarantee, so head down, stock up and be the envy of your mates when they pop round for Xmas frivolities and remark at just how damn fine your gaff is looking.
