know that when Notting Hill does pop-up fish & chips, it’s not just gonna be any old chippy. No sir, the guys at Kensington Place got their thinking caps on and came up with the rather puntastic ‘Notting Gill Chippy’ to feed the hoards of West Londoners and tourists alike some good ol’ fish ‘n’ chips, mixing old-fashioned dishes with new, novel interpretations.

In good, greedy spirit, we got to sample the lot. We began by indulging in the Lobster Thermi-Bun – a savoury doughnut oozing with lobster thermidor sauce – and Bitter & Twisted Scampi – made with golden ale in the batter for a boost – before moving on to the Curried-Spiced Batter Fish & Chips served with mango chutney and lentil dahl for a truly Indian twist on the traditional dish. Of course, if you want to keep it old school you can opt for the Classic Fish & Chips or Fish Finger Butty with spicy ketchup, both got the thumbs up from us. As did the Bitter & Twisted Ale and white wine, natch.

Eat in or grab ‘n’ go, The Notting Gill Chippy is Fish-Tastic..
