BAD HATS | MIDWAY

Sounding like something you’d have heard at a 90s prom night, Midway is an undeniably catchy indie-pop effort that’s elevated to towering new heights thanks to Kerry Alexander’s dreamy, affecting vocals that compliment the seriously well-crafted chorus hook.

NIGHT BEDS | ME, LIQUOR AND GOD

Gloriously melancholic track Me, Liquor and God exudes self-deprecation ‘I’ve never been enough for you/I’ve never been enough for myself’ but never quite feels defeatist. It gives us very ‘would have been on Charlotte from Lost In Translation’s iPod’ vibes, which is more of a compliment than we care to admit.

KOTOMI | SHINY

Imagine that you’re Ryan Gosling driving through the streets of Los Angeles in a 1973 Chevrolet Malibu as the sun sets and the creatures of the night come out to play. So the true to life image probably leans more toward sitting in the back on an uber riding through the streets of Soho, but the soundtrack remains the same. What a song.

BEC SANDRIDGE | IN THE FOG, IN THE FLAME

If Blondie and Kate Bush had a torrid affair, Bec Sandridge would be the result. In The Fog, In The Flame is a rebellious indie-pop track that’s given a distinctive gritty edge thanks to Bec’s indomitable vocal delivery that’s got us anticipating the release of her debut EP.

HERE WE GO MAGIC | FALLING

A joyous song about falling head over heals in love with someone, Here We Go Magic’s latest effort perfectly encapsulates that insatiable need to get to know every little aspect of someone’s life. From their favourite song, to how they got that little scar on their knee, it’s that moment where you realise “fuck, I’m in love again”.
