Summertime…what comes to mind? Evenings that seem to be light forever, the smell of freshly cut grass, BBQ’s…and of course WIMBLEDON! You can’t escape it and nor should you want to. This year’s action kicks off from June 29 to July 12 when the most prestigious tennis tournament gets the nation all excited for one of the biggest sporting events of the year.
It’s real on the edge of your seat stuff, shouting at the TV, effortlessly giving tips on how these athletes and experts in the field of tennis can improve their game, willing your fellow country men and women on to victory, sharing the disappointment when points are dropped, games lost and players sent home and jumping for joy when we’re through to the next round…how far can we get this year. Argh, it’s an emotional roller coaster alright.
To show just what we mean, there is a new reality show in town, #wimblewatch. Produced by evian®, this is the show where you will get to see the reaction to the action, from a variety of every day folk, hard-core tennis fans and celebrities. We have teamed up with evian® to bring this right to you, sharing the excitement, humour and action. You might even see us on there. HINT HINT.
#wimblewatch will be broadcast each morning at 11am and hosted on evian.wimbledon.com, showing the action from the previous day with the reactions of special guests and the public, bringing it to life. The first episode featuring Maria will go live on mONDAY 29th June. Keep an eye out, it’s going to be fun.
