announcing the first single from their forthcoming fourth album ‘Marks to Prove It’, The Maccabees’ second single ‘Something Like Happiness’, which is turning out to be a total live fave as the band currently tour the US, will be released on 31st July via Fiction Records. The artwork for the single is by the landscape artist Andy Goldsworthy who creates most of The Maccabees imagery.

Speaking about the new single, frontman Orlando Weeks says: “It’s about being really happy for someone if they’ve got something. You can feel like you have to rally against things, but people know their minds and if it brings someone contentment, then good for them.”
