hair: it can make your day or ruin your night/life. We were just moments from a mirror meltdown, when we heard ESHK hair had opened their latest salon in Clerkenwell, bringing with them a touch of Shoreditch and a small army of expertly trained stylists. Phew. The salon gets its look from its East London sisters: exposed brick, recycled materials, achingly cool. We got cosy downstairs and let the brilliant Miky loose on the mane transforming it from general mess to glossy, preened and polished.

A head full of foils later we were left with what can only be described as one of the best dye jobs we’ve ever had. There wasn’t an evil root (natural hair – eugh) in sight and all highlights were blended so beautifully it gave us an all over natural look. Finished off with a blow-dry that made our hair all smooth and swishy, we left feeling like we really were worth it. Thanks to ESHK hair, bad hair days are a thing of the past.
