Reuniting once again, high street superstars Topshop and retro sportswear players Adidas Originals have created a strong 80s hip-hop inspired collection for SS/15. The exclusive seven piece edit sees Topshop re-imagines some of Adidas Original’s classic shapes.
Design Director at Adidas Originals, Josefine Aberg says, “Our capsule with Topshop is the perfect partnership, as it allows us to explore a contemporary fashion aesthetic while paying homage to our iconic sportswear roots,” Fusing sports luxe with street style, the palette of red, white, black and Trefoil is bold, and the key pieces include the oversized, logo-centric sweater. The ’00:45:50′ print down both sleeves signifies both brands birthdays. The Adidas Superstar sneaker is celebrating 45 iconic years and Topshop turns 50 this year.
There are two colourways available in the Superstar. Our favourite is the unique cracked silver pair, again featuring the ’00:45:50′ along the back strap of the sneakers. Creative director at Topshop, Kate Phelan says, “Our love of fashion and sportswear comes to life in this capsule collection.
