summer Somerset House will put on show the first exhibition about a band who’s music immortalised Britain’s disenchanted youth during the late 1970s and early 1980s. For the first time The Jam’s archives have been opened; through unseen material and fan memorabilia, The Jam: About The Young Idea includes hand written lyrics, original stage outfits, personal photographs, unreleased music videos, early scrapbooks, letters and postcards, posters and fanzines as well as the band’s instruments.

To coincide with the exhibition, on 22 June 2015, Universal Music is releasing a limited-edition CD entitled About The Young Idea – The Best of The Jam which includes some previously unavailable recordings. An exclusive package of exhibition tickets and the CD is available at the special price of £17.50 (£15 concessions).
