has just opened its second branch, this time in Stoke Newington, and as that’s our ‘hood, we’re pretty damn excited about it. If you don’t know already, the original Foxlow is in Clerkenwell and is run by Huw Gott and Will Beckett, the duo that started Hawksmoor.

As you would expect, the menu is fairly meat heavy including some of the very best, juiciest fried chicken we’ve ever had in London. Elsewhere, there are aged-steaks, burgers and even some fish dishes such as crispy squid and house-cured salmon if you’re feeling that way inclined.

Stoke Newington is a bit short on good brunch spots so we have a feeling that brunch will be big business for Foxlow and we wasted no time in checking it out. We especially loved the all-day breakfast burger, essentially a pimped up McMuffin with a thick sausage patty, bacon, egg, mushroom and tomato. There’s also THAT fried chicken served on a croissant waffle and sides like sweet potato hash with spinach, and skin-on fries with chicken salt.

There’s no doubt that a restaurant of this quality is a great addition to the area and we can’t wait to get back and check out the Sunday roast. Foxlow – welcome to the neighbourhood.
