hardcore-grunge band Arrows of Love have hit us with their feverish new track Pretend Friends. Not varying from the psychedelic thrashing rock of their debut album, the accompanying video, directed by Skógr (whose previous credits include Fat White Family), consists of flashing images, abstract overlay, and inverted colours.

At only 2.07 in length, the track is over shortly and we get the impression Arrows of Love don’t follow conventional rules. When they are not busy writing, recording in their basement, or raging at their well documented live shows, they are the face of Dr Martins and Guinness campaigns, presumably even refuting the rule that says rock bands don’t do adverts.
