The clue’s definitely not in the name here folks, Bad Egg is not bad in the slightest, in fact it’s pretty bloody good! Located in Moorgate, Bad Egg is the new all day venture from Neil Rankin serving up a menu of mostly egg dishes. We popped along to check out the new Bottomless Brunch menu, available Saturdays from 11am – 5pm.
The boozy brunch will set you back £30 and includes the choice of limitless Gochujang Bloody Marys, Prosecco or Mimosa or if you can’t handle hair of the dog there’s a Virgin Brunch with OJ, tea and coffee for £22. When it comes to food each person gets to chose three different dishes….don’t worry they aren’t huge, but you won’t leave hungry either. There’s some interesting combos, our fave of the bunch was defo the fried chicken, caramelised banana, maple syrup & french toast. SO GOOD.
Other highlights included; the baked beans, slow-cooked pork, kimchi & sourdough, the sticky Korean fried rib tips served with lime mayo and the Nduja cheese fondue, skinny fries & fried egg…Come on it’s brunch, don’t judge us. There’s also some banging dishes on the normal menu including a Nduja, Black Pudding and Pork Belly hash. Dreamy. For something a little naughtier than your usual egg dishes, Bad Egg is the one.
