April Harrods will open Tartufi & Friends, a mecca for all things truffle located on the ground floor of the world-renowned department store. The Italian truffle lounge will serve everything from signature dishes like burrata with truffle honey to cocktails like the truffle martini. (But it’s the burger with Chianina beef, foie gras, sweet onion marmalade and fresh truffle that’s got our mouths watering!) There will also be a selection of packaged goods on offer to take home, like truffle-infused chocolate and olive oil with white truffle.

Tartufi & Friends, which has sister restaurants in Rome and Milan, illustrates the history of the truffle with prints from the 1500’s and offers Londoners a unique experience they can’t find anywhere else in town. So head over to Harrod’s next month, buy some tea for your nan then pop in to Tartufi & Friends for a little fungi and a lot of indulgence. Because when was the last time you complained of too much truffle? Never.
