would be interesting to see if Glass Animals could develop the visual theme of animals, umm, behind glass, as they’ve got a bit of a winner with latest single ‘Black Mambo’. It features hypnotically slithering snakes that will leave you as mesmerised as the tune itself. Glass Animals’ carefully crafted, woozy pop gets a visual companion that completely complements, care of director David Helman (Joey Bada$$, Flying Lotus, Blu). It’s got religious/pagan undertones, is beautifully shot, and pits man v nature in its skewered narrative.

These Oxfordians could be as big as that other big band from Oxford, if the hype keeps building, and the crowds keep squeezing into their gigs in all four corners of the world. The single is released on 23rd March through Wolf Tone/Caroline International, and is taken from their acclaimed debut album, ‘ZABA’.
