ones to do things by the book, San Diego’s lo-fi luminaries Crocodiles have announced an album partially influenced by “bottles smashing against heads in Cuauhtémoc bat-caves”…as you do. The first track to be revealed from the highly anticipated fifth studio album ‘Boys’ is salsa-punk showpiece ‘Crybaby Demon’ and no, we don’t mean that kind of salsa although the moreish blend of psych infused noise spiced with an infectious bass-line and distinctly Latin flavours is definitely something we could dip into to.

‘Boys’ has its UK release 11th of May but if you can’t wait till then ‘Crybaby Demon’ is out 2nd of March featuring a reverby rendition of Hot Chocolate’s classic ‘U Sexy Thing’ on the B-side. There’s also rumours of a European tour this summer but you’ll have to watch this space as dates won’t be confirmed for a while…crocodiles!
