is as a rule, pretty expensive and cash draining, but the band? They sound cheap, raucous, sleazy and all the better for it. The e.p Flush (Best Laid Plan Records) is the recent debut of the band, and the titular track (one of four, including a great cover of Hanging on the Telephone) sounds like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds with more swagger and electronic touches, slowed down, old school drum and bass bassline interludes anyone?…to give them their own edge.

Childcare sounds like a fantastic mish-mash of bands and genres, put through a personal blender to come up with something original, brave and energetic, and the video is tranny-tastic as singer, Ed Cares grabs your gaze and doesn’t let go.

No need to call social services on this one, the e.p is safe as houses.
