With the cold winter weather kicking in, we headed down to Harley Street to check out the Waterhouse Young Clinic to see if they could offer us a skin treatment to help battle the winter blues. Low and behold they do! The clinic recommended us the HydraFacial, a groovy little treatment that uses LED lights, a salicylic acid peel and Antiox cleansers to rejuvenate the skin.
The facial is a four-step process – they start by cleansing and exfoliating the skin, removing all of the dead skin cells so your face feels healthy and glowing. Next, they do a gentle acid peel with loosens dirt from your pores without causing any irritation. The vitamin element with the acid also rejuvenates the skin, giving it the nutrients it needs to help skin cell development – we can never have too many skin cells! Next step is extraction, where they use a machine that basically sucks up all the crap out of your pores – our face felt cleaner than a newly vacuumed floor that’s for sure! The last step is the hydration bit, with antioxidant serums being massaged into the skin to make the skin feel soft and super fresh.
The best thing about this facial is that it can help with any skin types. The facial is tailored specifically for your skin and can help with sun damage, wrinkles, redness, blemishes and oily skin – you name it, they can fix it! The clinic recommends you take a course of six to see the full effect, but we noticed a different even after one!
