Corner Room, located in Town Hall Hotel, has appointed a brand new Head Chef John Christie who like his counterpart below in The Typing Room is only 28 years old. And, just like The Tying Room, the restaurant serves both a tasting menu and a’la carte options too.

We went for the 6 course tasting menu which offers a good selection of dishes from across the menu and comes with or without pairing wines. At £75 with vino it would be rude not too. The menu changes regularly so we won’t list all our dishes, we will however tell you that all of the food is consistent in quality and execution (just look at those pics!) and each dish holds it’s own against that which comes before and after. Oh and if there is Charcoal cauliflower with chicken liver and Mallard, black pudding, parsley root and plum on the list, you are in for a TREAT.

Wines were perfectly paired to our food, service was top notch and the intimate surrounds make this perfect for a date. But with only 30 seats in the restaurant, you’re gonna wanna book ahead.
