is big business in the capital right now, with everything from your typical Egg dishes to the likes of avocado on rye and sweetcorn fritters doing the rounds. Peruvian restaurant Coya is jumping on the wagon and offering their take on Sunday brunch, it’s a little different than most but no less filling, we can tell you…

Their Sunday brunch comes  3 different ways, either none boozy, with unlimited wine or champers.  Everyone gets the same array of starters and desserts but you select one main dish. The starters include salmon, tuna and Seabass ceviches/Tiraditos, each with a different but equally as punchy sauce. Then there’s the tuna tacos, slow roasted pulled pork, smoked chilli and salsa criollo sarnie – dripping in flavour, the quinoa salad and the zesty broad bean salad.

For mains we opted for the roast lamb, spiced roast potatoes and courgettes in a sweet, highly addictive sauce and the charcoal grilled sea bream with crunchy fennel salad, both served with corn on the cob and broccoli with chilli.

If you manage to finish dessert then you’re a better man than us…There’s three in total served on a slab, the dense chocolate brownie topped with fresh raspberries and a tart raspberry sorbet, coconut and passion fruit cheesecake and purple corn ice cream. For £37 excluding booze, it’s not bad value given the quality of the dishes and Mayfair surrounds.
