England out of the World Cup (nothing new there then) we think the only way to carry on enjoying the beautiful game is to get drunk on the beer of our rival countries. That’s where Globe House comes to the rescue. The Home Bar, with a 30ft long bar and 32 different beers from every country competing, you and your mates can watch the match with the according beers. If beer isn’t your thing…but come on, this is a World Cup, why not sip on a Jose Cuervo blood orange slushy whilst playing a spot of foosball.

Downstairs is the Away Bar, a tropical garden decked out with palm trees, exotic plants and a turfed floor, you’ll have to remember you’re in Bermondsey not Brazil. The reservation only space which is perfect for bigger groups and has the added perk of table service provided by girls in football strips. No hand balls guys!

With killer cocktails from epic bartender, Jim Wrigley of Made in the Shade in charge, expect refreshers like Saint George’ Flower Power, a delicious blend of gin, elderflower liqueur, fresh apple, lemon juice and ginger beer, SCORE.

There is, of course, massive pitchers to share and to make it even more perfect, pizza from the under the arches of London Bridge’s Pizza Lupa. Who needs the local boozer when watching the football can be this good?
