something about dining in the clouds, looking out below at the city, sitting back and enjoying a cocktail right? Something that makes all that hard work seem bloody worth it! Well, like it’s sister Aqua Shard, Hutong is the perfect place to ride out that feeling.

Located up The Shard, on level 33, the Chinese restaurant offers stunning views and food to match. We kicked things off with a Dim Sum platter, a selection of 8 delicate dumplings filled with a variety of seafood – can’t go wrong with a crab dumpling.

To follow, the Ma La chilli prawns< have quite the kick (clue's in the name) and taste every bit as colourful as they look. The killer dish though, has to be the beef rib braised in a lotus leaf, super soft and stripped at your table, the marinated meat is packed full of flavour.Spicy minced pork with string beans fried with chilli and dried shrimp is a combo we'd definitely want to try again. And even the egg fried rice is light and fluffy, as should be - it's egg white you see, none of the yolk. For a celebratory dinner or lunch Hutong ticks all the boxes. High flying baby...Level 33 The Shard, 31 St Thomas St, London SE1 9RY www.hutong.co.uk
