St is located in the Thompson Belgraves hotel in Belgravia – surprisingly enough! The restaurant is run by Sophie Michell, currently Britain’s youngest Exec Chef.

The menu is pretty on trend with a slant towards seafood, we started with mini lobster rolls and the juicy heirloom tomatoes with aioli on chargrilled sourdough. Our favourite though was the fresh Dorset Crab, avocado, fennel, pink grapefruit, yuzu & sriracha mayonnaise.

Tender duck breast, glazed pork belly, kale and rhubarb was an interesting combo of flavours and textures but we have to admit the hanger steak was a little too tough for our liking. Desserts knocked our little socks off, warm doughnut balls filled with salted caramel and the impressive looking Vacherin (which is like an eton mess and NOT a cheese) made up of cherry, vanilla cream and meringue was sweet with a nice side of sour.

Service was impeccable, seriously sh*t hot those waiters. Worth a go if you find yourself in the neighbourhood.
