Aveda Institute in Covent Garden is Aveda’s flagship salon in the UK, it’s a one-stop shop for everything from hair cuts and treatments to stocking up your beauty shelves. Even though the salon is pretty huge and connected to a cafe, it still manages to feel that bit zen.

We went along for a chop and blow dry, to test drive the salon services. After a consultation we were asked to choose an oil before we were given a head and neck massage using the selected oil. Nice touch! Then it was on to the basins for a good scrub and massage before been lead back to our station where a cup of Aveda tea was waiting. Yes, they even have their own blend of zen tea.

The cut was seamless, the stylist explained all of the steps and talked us through the whole process. After a blow dry we were left with glossy, shiny locks which raised a comment or two from the people in our office. For the whole Aveda experience, the Aveda Institute is where it’s at. We’re just gutted our lunch break meant we didn’t have time for a spa treatment…
