Crossed is a small cafe which opened on Amhurst Road nearly 3 months ago serving breakfast, brunch and lunch. Most things are homemade including the donuts, cakes and granola. We went for the brunch menu which has something for all tastes…

Baked eggs come with either spinach and ricotta or chorizo (or a mix if you ask nicely!) and at just £6.50 they pretty good value. The bacon roll is stuffed with crispy bacon and housemade ketchup for just four quid and the poached eggs with avocado and feta is a winning combo. Coffee comes strong and hot, fresh orange is freshly squeezed and the donut fillings change daily.

We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that once word gets out on Fingers Crossed we can get a table.
