your idea of cider comes from a 2-litre bottle in the park, you might be in for a bit of a surprise. The Cider Box are on a mission to educate the masses about the apple-based tipple, and you can get in on the action at Queen of Hoxton’s rooftop WigWamBam on the 15th of March.

It’s an all-star cider tasting line up straight outta Somerset and into your glass: award-winners Hecks make their debut at the event, whilst Wilkins has the accolade of having been Joe Strummer’s favourite cider. There’s also a champagne-style cider to keep it classy, and Somerset Cider Brandy to warm your cockles.

The afternoon event will showcase the scrumpy way of life: alongside the all-important drinks there’s cider-themed food, photography and film to boot, plus talks on how to make the best cider from London’s city slicker apples. We’ll be listening intently, although we might leave it to the pros.

With craft beer events flooding the capital, it could be time for cider to have a vintage year – see you up on the roof to find out. Tickets cost £15 including food and booze.

March 15th, 12pm-7pm
