keep this one short and snappy, this weekend we found a good egg, The Good Egg. It’s a weekend brunch pop-up which takes place in the Cortado cafe located on the canal between Islington and Haggerston.

They serve three different egg dishes; the Breakfast Burrito, Shakshuka and Good Egg Hash all priced at £8 and there’s a couple of sarnies and small things too. We went for the Shakshuka with Merguez sausages which came with two eggs, a mound of spicy tomato and pepper sauce and two slices of toasted za’atar bread. It was killer and left us stuffed.

The Breakfast Burrito packed with eggs, roast potatoes, black beans, cheese, salsa and guacamole was another mammoth dish. Not one single complaint between us.

It’s open for the foreseeable future so get down there. It’s a good egg alright.
