For those who don’t know Davines is a premium Italian hair care product line with a strong environmental ethos. The products are used in various independent salons across London but the flagship is ENA, a three storey townhouse salon located in Holborn.
We popped down for a colour and cut last week to check out the services. Starting with a quick style consultation from our stylist Sam it was time to begin the colouring, rich black with a violet tint. As we waited for the colour to take we were treated to a coffee, perhaps the poshest salon coffee we’ve ever seen…
Thirty minutes later and we were over at the basin for 2 washes, then it was time for Sam to work his magic. Davines have a huge range of products with everything from shampoo and conditioner for different hair types to oils, dry shampoo and treatments. A nourishing oil was applied to our mop before we were blow dried, the hair dryer never leaving the top of our head, instead our hair was pushed back and forth which eliminates frizz.
Hair slick, fringe trimmed we left ENA with a Cleopatra style mop – sleek and sexy, we’ll take that one. A super friendly, skilled team – all of which are trained above the cutting floor in the salon’s academy which has both external and internal students – amazing products and decor which feels homely and relaxing without the pretentiousness of other central hair joints. It’s fair to say ENA is one of the best salons we’ve spied in London. Check it out.
