House of Peroni is a pop-up venue located in Marylebone which has hosted all kinds of events from perfume workshops to cocktail masterclasses. We went along to one of the Edible Cinema events last week which combined Paolo Sorrentino’s film The Great Beauty (possibly the weirdest film we’ve ever seen) with an 8 course menu.

The food was created by Bottega Wapping and during various scenes the audience were prompted to eat from certain boxes. So when the sea appeared we ate tuna tartare, when they talked about roots we had a salad and when there was a celebration we had scallop served with negroni jelly and raw veg marinated in orange juice. The meal ended with a trio of desserts, our favourite was the super strong G&T jelly.

The bad news is the House of Peroni closes at the end of the month and the last edible cinema is fully booked, the good news is it’s still open everyday in November with food from Street Feast and some pretty special Peroni cocktails on offer…Get in there!
