Rooftop parties may have come to a close with the change in weather, but that doesn’t stop the masterminds behind it seeking new and exciting projects. Background Bars are running a series of events, Thursday to Saturday starting next month that will showcase the best of London’s gastronomy and music culture in a transformed East London car park and underground bunker. We’d like to introduce you to Night Tales…

With a pioneering two-tiered structure, which spans over 25m, offering a raised platform mezzanine that will house live entertainment and shelter you from the elements, the space will come dressed with warm lighting and planted trees, providing the perfect scene for winters new hang-out spot.

With food from Smokey Tails and Patty and Bun, and Background Bars looking after an even more ambitious bar set up and cocktail menu we’re all set for a right old hoot. The space also holds a WWII Bunker hosting weekly live visual art and a series of interactive exhibitions.
