is a laid back Swedish joint located at the top of Brick Lane among the many dodgy restaurants which inhabit the tourist street. The menu features Swedish food dishes from meatballs to gravad lax salmon which can be washed down with some Swedish cider or pretty adventurous cocktails – the jury is still out as to whether or not they are typically Swedish.

We popped by recently for lunch sampling a couple of the creations; The Inventory cocktail – a mixture of cognac, chilli, caramel, vodka and cotton candy – served in a chemistry style set complete with pipette and equipment for you to mix it up yourself. It’s a little like a science experiment and on a first date this would definitely give you something to talk about!

We also tried the soft meatball sliders, fresh homecured salmon with Darjeeling jelly and the rather interesting Foxy Doughnut, a dougnut filled with Chicken liver pate, apple and beetroot puree – the jury is still out on that one too!

For quirky cocktails and nibbles that break away from the norm Fika is just the spot!
