Get your Patties and your Baps out for London’s latest foodie tournament, The Slider Decider!
Following The Burger Bash early this month it’s now time to find London’s best slider. On Thursday 16th May, chefs from some of the hottest restaurants around including The Ship at Wandsworth, Sushinho and Nanban will gather at The Gun, Docklands to put their slider skills to the test as they battle it out against The Gun’s Head Chef, Quinton Bennett to win the title ‘Slider Decider Champion 2013’.
Tickets will cost you £10 for a bottle of beer and two sliders; one cheeseburger and one pulled pork with jalapeño relish, as well as the chance to try some of the contestants’ slider creations. BARGAIN.
We’ve been lucky enough to have a sneaky peak at some of the finalists and we’re not going to lie they all sound freaking ACE. We have to say we’re hoping to try Dishoom‘s Slow-cooked leg of lamb marinated in chilli, garlic and ginger, then tossed in butter and lime juice and served in a soft sourdough slider bun as well as the mammoth Wasabi and mustard seed bun, with a cheese poppa, wild garlic smoked dill pickle, oxtail stuffed Dexter beef patty, dehydrated mustard glazed onion, and a maple and walnut slaw filling from Well and Bucket in Shoreditch.
