The Soho House Group are set to launch five brand spanking new houses to open by Winter 2014. New openings are confirmed for Toronto, Mumbai, Chicago, Istanbul and Barcelona. The new locations will be the same design as the other houses whilst each one will draw inspiration from its local area.
The first property to open with be Soho House Toronto, which is set to throw open its doors in autumn. Located on Bishops Block the building dates back to the 1800s and was originally one of Toronto’s first hotels. Next up will be Soho House Mumbai which opens Spring 2013 with club, our London breakfast favourite Cecconi’s restaurant, rooftop pool, infinity bar and 38 hotel rooms set on the beach in Mumbai’s cosmopolitan Juhu neighbourhood.
Soho House Chicago will follow in Spring 2014 housed in a 1907 warehouse the property will boast 35 bedrooms, a full sized pool, courtyard, a glass enclosed rooftop bar & kitchen and its very own Pizza East. Spring 2014 is also the opening date for Istanbul – the biggest ever Soho House. Located in the trendy Beyoglu district and built in 1873, the club will feature 88 bedrooms, rooftop pools (yes that is plural), hammans and a 250 seat Cecconis restaurant.
Soho House Barcelona is the final opening planned for Winter 2014 with 60 bedrooms as well as a rooftop pool, dining area, bar, games room and gym, while the ground floor will host a public restaurant and Cowshed spa.
And that’s not all Babington House is been given a light facelift and Soho House Berlin are laucnhing 20 fully serviced apartments whilst the London Houses will be given a lick of paint in 2013.
