was only a matter of time before the pub quiz broke out of the confines of the boozer and started to appear in other locations. And given that baking is the new rock ‘n’ roll, it is no surprise to see that trendy cake shop Cakey Muto will be hosting the Beaten and Creamed quiz on Thursday 7th June.

A unique one-off event, the quiz is to help celebrate the launch Beaten and Creamed magazine, a brand spanking new publication all about the cult of the cupcake from the twisted mind of Miss Cakehead. This deviant baker has a somewhat ‘alternative’ take on cakes, you won’t find her creating sweet innocent treats, her cakes are X-rated and not for children or those of a sensitive disposition. In fact a post we wrote on her creations is one of our highest hitting posts ever.

Iced to look like butchered meat or assorted body parts, her creations are most definitely cakes for grown ups. Kicking off at 8pm, we’d recommend getting their early as its fist come, first served! Entry is £2 each with teams of up to four people. Miss Cakehead was part of the team that produced some incredible cakes for the Kerrang! awards party (including an edible ashtray!) and alongside the Golden Afternoon Tea Company, will be producing treats for each table, so expect something a little bit special. Get on down here and test your taste buds as well as showing off your general knowledge!
